The Blue Cow
Luxury Bed & Breakfast

25th November 2021, guest from Broadstairs:

"Very relaxing cottage with a lot of thought behind it to make a home from home . A big five stars from me"

"The duchess pub in village. St Ives market day was Monday and lots of local shops. Golden Lion in St Ives is dog friendly and very good food."

27th October 2021, guest from Lewes:

"Unparalleled sophistication in the heart of the Cambridgeshire fens!

The Blue Cow is a fantastic holiday cottage for a quiet break. The quality of facilities is very good and we were made very welcome by our host, who provided a fantastic breakfast.

The Blue cow was larger than I expected from the photos which was a pleasant surprise.

Lovely touches including toiletries and tea and coffee make this a perfect stay. I had a wonderful time with my partner and our greyhound."

"I had the most fun I've ever had on the Bus way! The views from the bus are worth the ticket price alone. The bus travels on a track at 62 miles am hour into Cambridge every ten minutes which means it is speedy and frequent.

The route is through absolutely incredible countryside taking in views of the fenland nature reserve. This took me onto Cambridge where I met my friend for shopping and lunch and a museum trip!"

10th October 2021, guest from Boughton Monchelsea:

"Mila & Bill are lovely hosts and willing to help with information or just for a chat. They maintain the accommodation to a high standard and care about their guests."

"Fenstanton is a very small village directly off the A14 with few facilities but is an ideal location to be free to walk or visit many attractive neighbouring locations."

15th July 2021, guest from Stirling:

"We had a delightful stay—just a pity we could not have spent more time in a lovely hideaway. An old building beautifully re-purposed. Great range of breakfasts."

8th July 2021, guest from Bolton:

"Everything about our stay was excellent. Accommodation is very stylish and comfortable. Lovely garden. Pretty Village. Very welcoming host. Look forward to visiting again!"

5th July 2021, guest from Washington Ne371ed:

"What a wonderful place to stay.

Mila could not be a more helpful hostess. Nothing was too much trouble and she had gone to a lot of trouble to add all the little extras that make this a true home from home experience. The breakfast was amazing all sourced by high quality local ingredients. Can’t wait to come back again soon."

"The Chinese restaurant in Saint Ives was amazing and well worth a visit. Market days are Monday and Fridays in Saint Ives."

9th April 2020:

"The Blue Cow is a tranquil and idyllic cottage with very tasteful interior decoration and a glorious back garden. Tremendous privacy and ultimate innkeeper hospitality.

Anticipation of our needs and excellent suggestions for walks in the area."

"Find the nearby RSPB wetlands walkways. Stroll toward Capability Brown’s Manor House. Breathe the fine air and enjoy the fens."

8th February 2020, guest from Norwich:

"Great place to stay so much cosier than a hotel room and more personal. Good food and facilities. Fantastic service we make sure we visit 3 times a year when visiting Cambridge"

28th December 2019, guest from Ashton-in-makerfield:

"I loved this B and B. It was very comfortable, and I appreciated the separate sitting room, kitchen and bedroom, which were so tastefully decorated. I also enjoyed preparing my own breakfast at a time that suited me, and eating it in pyjamas and dressing gown - no pressure to be fully awake! Mila was very welcoming, and it was the perfect base for me to spend Christmas with family, with my own place to come back to, with all the tidying up completed in my absence. "

"No tips as I spent the day with my brother, but it looked a pretty little village, and from past visits to the area, I know there are a couple of National Trust properties not too far, and Cambridge and Norwich are both lovely cities. "
